Charlotte Wright Osgood of Chestnut Hill, PA and recently of Kendal at Longwood, passed away peacefully on July 8, 2018 at the age of 90.
After graduating from Springside School in Chestnut Hill, Charlotte attended Vassar College where she majored in Mathematics. After her marriage to John Osgood, she taught Math in Colorado Springs. On return to Philadelphia, she enjoyed working at Chestnut Hill Academy for years. Strong, smart and independent, she enlivened the lives of her friends with her stories and humor.
Predeceased by her two brothers, Bill and Bick Wright, she did well keeping her children and their children in touch with each other. Charlotte is survived by her children, Ellen Bush and Connie Petersen; her nieces, Cindy Eyster and Patty Eyster; her nephew, Bill Wright; her grandchildren, Michael, Amanda and Andrew as well as great nephews and nieces. The family wishes to thank all friends and staff at Kendal for giving Charlotte the best years of her life.
A Memorial Service for Charlotte will be held at 2:00PM on Sunday, September 30, 2018 at Kendal at Longwood, 1109 E Baltimore Pike, Kennett Square, PA 19348. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Canine Partners, PO Box 170, Cochranville, PA 19330. Charlotte, who loved dogs, spent much of her time volunteering there.
