Award-winning authors Alyssa Cole and Kellye Garrett will chat about the caretaker with multiple personalities and the girlfriend who finds a dead body while on vacation in a discussion of the writers’ latest thrillers, on Wednesday, May 1, at Uncle Bobbie’s Coffee & Books in Germantown.

Cole’s recently released “One of Us Knows” tells the story of a historic preservationist – and her alters – who take a new post as a caretaker at a historic home. Garrett’s “Missing White Woman” finds a Black woman and her boyfriend on vacation when the boyfriend disappears, and the body of a long-missing woman is found in the foyer of the vacation house.

The discussion is at 7 p.m. Tickets are $7.50. A $32 ticket includes admission and a copy of “One of Us Knows” or “Missing White Woman.” A $55 ticket includes admission and a copy of both books. Uncle Bobbie’s is at 5445 Germantown Ave. For information and tickets, visit unclebobbies.com/events
