We remember and celebrate the life of Tania Gopcevic Biddle, who passed away peacefully from natural causes on March 26th, 2024, at her residence in East Norriton, Pennsylvania. Tania's legacy is cherished by her children: Peter Biddle (Nancy), Christopher Biddle (Janice), and Tabby Biddle (Lee Schneider), five grandchildren: James Biddle, Timothy Biddle, Christopher Biddle Jr., Colin Biddle, and Bodhi Biddle Schneider.
Tania was born in Boston on June 14, 1937, and enjoyed a life marked by laughter, love, and an indomitable spirit. She was the daughter of Nina (Baugh) Gopcevic and Peter Vojislav Gopcevic. She is predeceased by her siblings: Peter Gopcevic, Nina (Gopcevic) Carpenter, and Andrija Gopcevic.
She was educated at the School of the Holy Child in Suffern, New York and after graduation lived in Washington, D.C., Boston, and New York. In 1964, she married Wharton Biddle and they settled in Flourtown, Pennsylvania. She and Wharton divorced in 1979.
Tania loved tennis, golf, skiing, and her feathered friends at her birdfeeders, but her special passion was flowers. She volunteered for many years at the Philadelphia Flower Show, where she served as a judge. She remained curious, studying computer programming and website design, and later transitioned into a successful career as a real estate agent. In retirement, Tania moved from Pennsylvania to Jamestown, Rhode Island with her beloved cats Rhonda and Louie Louie, where she always found joy in relaxing at Green's Beach, basking in the sun and enjoying the company of many friends and cousins with whom she practiced her well-known sarcastic wit.
Tania was funny, spirited, and loving. Her exuberant legacy will endure in the hearts of friends and loved ones.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Tania’s memory be sent to EveryCat Health Foundation at www.everycat.org, a non-profit dedicated to research and education on feline health.
