DOLORES BARROSSE (NEE GIACOMELLI) Age 92 on October 14, 2023. Beloved wife of the late Jerrold Barrosse. Loving mother of Cynthia (Gregory) Rowe and Laura (Donald) Sirianni. Devoted grandmother of Lisa (Jamie) Johnstonbaugh, Sandra (Luke) Lomberk, Andrew (Michelle) Sirianni and Christina Sirianni (Jim Sharkey). Loving great-grandmother of Connor, Garrett, Macen, Luke, Killian, Gavin, Eleanor, Michael and Amelia.
Born in Chestnut Hill, PA, to John and Maria (Rosa) Giacomelli. In 1950 she graduated from the Medical Technician Course at Graduate Hospital, Phila. Afterwards she worked at Jefferson Hospital's Hematology Department, physician offices in Chestnut Hill and Broad Street Medical Laboratories. After raising her daughters, she worked at All Saints Hospital/ Chestnut Hill Rehabilitation Hospital as an Electrocardiograph Technician and Supply and Equipment Co-Coordinator, retiring after 35 years.
She was married to the love of her life, Jerry for 63 years. She was involved in her daughters’ school and Mother’s club at church. She loved baking, making many delicious desserts for work and family gatherings. She especially loved going to the movies with her grandchildren with her snack purse on her arm. She and Dad were great supporters of anything in which her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren participated.
Relatives and friends are invited to her memorial service Friday, November 3, at 10:30 AM, visitation at 9:00 at Queen of Peace 820 North Hills Avenue, Ardsley, PA 19038. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
