The following crime report is for crimes reported in Chestnut Hill from Jan. 14 to Jan. 20, 2019.
Jan. 14. Theft from vehicle on the 200 block of West Evergreen Avenue on Jan. 13 at 4 p.m. A woman told police an unknown person went into her wallet, which was in her vehicle, and took $100 in cash. The woman contacted her credit card companies, and there were no fraudulent purchases.
Jan. 15. Theft on the 100 block of Bethlehem Pike. Complainant told police that 136 pills (Oxycodone and Percocet) were missing from the medication drawer at approximately 8 p.m. Multiple employees have access to keys. No cameras inside. The medication is valued at $1,000.
Jan. 16. Theft from vehicle on the unit block of East Willow Grove Avenue. A woman told police that she parked her Toyota Prius at the front of her residence. She noticed between 12 a.m. and 6:15 a.m., an unknown person rummaged through her vehicle, but did not use forced entry. Nothing was reported taken from the vehicle.
Jan. 18. Theft from 7700 block of Crittenden Street at approximately 6:08 p.m. Store employee for Acme told police that the offender took several grocery items past the point of sale without paying for them. Taken were shrimp, pork chops, tuna, bacon and Tupperware. The items are valued at $172. A suspect was arrested.
Jan. 19. Theft from vehicle on the unit block of Valley Green Road. A woman told police she parked her Toyota Corolla at approximately 11:45 a.m. and when she returned at 1:55 p.m., she discovered the driver’s side rear window broken. Taken was a yellow back pack with makeup and an ATM card. The items are valued at $100.
