The following crime report is for crimes reported in Chestnut Hill from Aug. 27 to Sept. 3, 2018.
Aug. 27. Theft from vehicle on the 7700 block of Stenton Avenue. A man told police that between 1 p.m. on Aug. 26 and 12:30 p.m. on Aug. 27, an unknown person took all four wheels from his 2007 Cadillac Escalade with PA Tag KCG-9583. The total value of items taken is approximately $3,200.
Aug. 27. Theft on the 100 block of East Hartwell Lane. The owner and witnesses were playing tennis when an unknown black male took their bags and fled northbound on Ardleigh Street. The women’s bags were recovered at Anderson and Green.
Sept. 1. Theft from vehicle on the 7700 block of Ardleigh Street. A woman told police that sometime between 2 – 4 a.m. someone took all four tires and rims from her vehicle, which was parked out front. The items are valued at $5,000.
Sept. 2. Theft from vehicle on the 200 block of West Evergreen Avenue. A man told police that sometime around 4 p.m. an unknown person entered his vehicle, which he left open. There was no damage. However, the owner's items were thrown around the vehicle.
Summary: Four crimes for the week – three thefts from vehicles and one theft.
