Gabriel Anthony Aiello died on April 16th at his North Fort Myers home, he was 95.
Born in Serrastretta in Calabria, Italy. Gabriel came to the United States at the age of nine and lived in Chestnut Hill throughout his early life. He married Jeanette Savini and they had 4 children. She died in 1961. He later married Mary DeFavere, she passed in 1994.
Gabriel served in the Army Corps of Engineers during World War II. After his military service he worked at the Philadelphia Naval Base until he retired. He then moved to North Fort Myers, Florida where he met his wife Cara Lynn.
He is survived by his wife Cara Lynn; his brother Louis Aiello, II of Roxborough; his four children: Mary Jean Aiello; Lorraine Aiello; Carol (Frank) Paladino; Anthony (Emilia) Aiello; and one grandchild Jeanette Aiello. Services were held in Florida as well as Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery, where his mother and father are buried.
