Crime Report: Two burglaries and two thefts from vehicles

The following crimes are from the week of Aug. 23 to Aug. 29

Aug. 25. 8500 block of Germantown Avenue. At approximately 5:49 a.m., Police met by employee who stated that the cash register was smashed and pried open with a knife and an ice pick was taken from the business. The burglar also took $400 in cash.

Aug. 25. 500 block of W. Gravers Lane. At approximately 7:19 a.m., a woman told police she parked her 2013 gray Toyota Camry in the driveway and when she returned she found the left rear passenger window smashed and her Dell laptop missing. Valued at $2,500.

Aug. 25. 8200 block of Germantown Avenue. At approximately 10:12 a.m., owner told police when he opened the restaurant around 10 a.m. and noticed a side window was out of the frame and on the floor. After a walk through, he found one of the cash registers behind the bar pried open and on the floor. Nothing appeared to be missing.

Aug. 28. 200 block of E. Highland Avenue. A woman told police she parked her black 2010 Mazda in the rear of the listed location. When she returned to the vehicle at 8:15 a.m., she noticed someone had rummaged through her vehicle. Several (unlisted) items were taken. The woman stated the vehicle had been locked.

Summary – four crimes for the week.
