Katey McGrath, a Northwest Philadelphia native and vice president, director of operations, and partner at Chestnut Hill-based Elfant Wissahickon Realtors (EWR), has been selected for the National Association of Realtors (NAR) 2027 Leadership Academy. She is one of only 20 professionals chosen from hundreds of applicants across the country.

The year-long program prepares Realtors for leadership at the local, state and national levels of the association.

McGrath is a graduate of public schools (K-12), and continued her studies at Drexel University, Community College of Philadelphia and Temple University. She completed the Leadership Philadelphia Core Program in 2017. She joined EWR in 2000 and became a partner in 2016. Her community work has long focused on the neighborhoods she calls home. She has partnered with neighborhood associations and public school friends’ groups, and chaired the Philadelphia Public School Notebook.

She serves as treasurer of the Greater Philadelphia Association of Realtors (GPAR) and on the Bright MLS Board of Directors. She was the founding president of the Women’s Council of Realtors Philadelphia and is a mayoral appointee to the Philadelphia Commission for Women.

“Katey has spent more than 25 years making EWR a better place to work and a better partner to the neighborhoods we serve,” said Paul Walsh, president of Elfant Wissahickon. “NAR picked someone who will make the most of this, and we couldn’t be prouder.”

“I’m honored to be part of this class and grateful to the colleagues at EWR, GPAR and [the Pennsylvania Association of Realtors] who have shaped me as a leader,” McGrath said. “Homeownership is one of the most powerful ways families build stability and wealth, and communities get stronger. I’m looking forward to learning from Realtors across the country and bringing ideas home to Philadelphia.”
