Can we residents of Chestnut Hill slow some of the unrestrained growth in our community that threatens our small town ambience? The new multi-unit apartment planned for the top of the Hill, squeezing out an historic church, is another example of crushing development.

Without enough parking for all the units means parking will be impossible. I would think the local businesses would worry. With little available parking, visitors and potential customers will be discouraged from shopping here. And the influx of large apartment buildings changes the sense of community which many residents feel. I worry how this uncontrolled construction will alter our charming community. Are we helpless in the face of burgeoning developments?
