Beckett Chizmar, 12, a student in the Springside/Chestnut Hill Academy Class of 2027, recently received the Henry B. Williams Drama Award at Camp Tecumseh in New Hampshire. For the past 92 years the camp has put on a Gilbert & Sullivan operetta. This year, the operetta was The Sorcerer. “To our surprise,” said R. Erick Chizmar, Beckett's dad, “our son, who had never sung or performed in a play, auditioned for the lead part of Aline, got the part and performed it impressively enough to earn him this drama award.”
