The following crime report is for crimes reported in Chestnut Hill from Aug. 6 to Aug. 12, 2018.
Aug. 6. Theft on the 8200 block of Germantown Avenue at approximately 7:50 p.m. A woman was seated at table having dinner at a restaurant, when another woman sat down at the table behind her and removed her wallet from her purse, which was hanging on the back of her chair. An employee chased the woman and was able to get the wallet back. However, two Visa credit cards were missing. Both credit cards were canceled. The unknown woman fled inside a tan sedan with PA license plate KRS-1388. The items were valued at $30.
Aug. 11. Theft on the 8600 block of Germantown Avenue at approximately 12:35 p.m. An employee said a man entered the store and stuck his hand into the tip jar and stole $15.
