Near neighbors of 102 E. Mermaid Lane were surprised to see on Saturday, Feb. 23, that several dozen tires had been dumped onto the property without reason or warning.
Blossom Philadelphia, which owns the building, also was surprised and upset to discover the dump on its property
In a statement to the Chestnut Hill Community Association, the organization confirmed that it is working on hiring a company to come and clear out the tires, and that it is hoping to have the area cleared by March 15.
