Thanks for Weird Waste participation
On Saturday, Sept. 22, community members and businesses once again came to Norwood-Fontbonne Academy to recycle their "wired waste." We collected 15,000 pounds of computers, TVs, peripherals and other electronic waste that will be responsibly recycled rather than ending up in a landfill or being sent to a third world country. In addition, over 600 pounds of batteries were collected. We would like to thank the following people who help make this event organized by Green in Chestnut Hill (GRinCH) and Weavers Way Environment Committee such an amazing success: Norwood-Fontbonne for donating the use of their driveway, PAR-Recycleworks for their responsible recycling services, our volunteers and especially all of the community members and businesses who came to recycle their electronic waste. Thank you, and we look forward to seeing you in the Spring!
