Friends of the Chestnut Library will be presenting its annual book sale in conjunction with the Chestnut Hill Home and Garden Festival on the first Sunday of May (the 4th) from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The former outdoor book sale will take place indoors once again, in the foyer and the meeting rooms of the Chestnut Hill Library, 8711 Germantown Ave. Please use the side entrance of the Library.
We find it is unbelievable! The prices of our gently used books have remained the same: hardcover books cost $1.00, large paperbacks are priced at 50 cents and small paperbacks at 25 cents.
Our sale also includes children's books, CDs, DVDs, large print books, foreign literature, dictionaries, oldies, cookbooks, and many more. All books have been donated by residents of the area, and 100 percent of the profit is given to the Chestnut Hill Library for materials and programs for children, teens, and adults.
Please visit our book sale on Sunday, May 4, or any Monday (except holidays) from 1:15 to 5 p.m.
Seeing is believing. Needless to say, this sale is the biggest bargain on the Hill.
Renee Polsky is a former president of the Friends of Chestnut Hill Library.
