The following crime report is for crimes reported in Chestnut Hill from May 7 to May 13, 2018.
May 8. Theft on the 300 block of East Willow Grove Avenue at approximately 8:30 a.m. A man told police that he locked his bike up near the Wyndmoor Train Station. When he returned at 2 p.m., the bike was gone. Taken was one Specialized Diverge A1, black and white gloss. Serial number WSBC602342597L. The bike is valued at $850.
May 10. Theft on the unit block of East Willow Grove Avenue at approximately 8 a.m. on May 1. A man told police that he hired a company to refinish the hardwood floors on the second floor of his house. The work was performed and after the company left the man and his wife noticed that the following items were missing from inside the house: one gold wedding band valued at $2,000, one gold ring with half carat diamond $2,000, $140 in cash, 60 100mg Gabapentin medication, 20 Oxycodone, 20 Viagra. The total value of items taken was approximately $4,140. The owner of the flooring company was on location when the report was taken.
May 11. Theft from vehicle on Valley Green Road on May 10 at approximately 11 a.m. A woman told police that an unknown person broke the passenger side window of her 2013 Hyundai The following items were removed from the vehicle: one purse, one wallet, one watch and cosmetics. The items are valued at $500.
