Folk musician Saul Broudy, who specializes in bluegrass, country, blues, rockabilly and roots music, will highlight the songs of Woody Guthrie on June 8 in a concert at Historic Germantown that is part of the cultural organization's Music Alive series. "Songs of the Dust Bowl, Woody Guthrie and Beyond" is the second in a series of six concerts that aim to chronicle the history of 20th century American music. Roy Bookbinder performed last month, opening the series developed in collaboration with guitarist and composer Jim Dragoni. Musicians Odean Pope, Bobby Zankel, Gloria Galante, Rhenda Fearrington, Paul Woznicki and Dragoni will be spotlighted in concerts through September, scheduled for July 13, Aug. 10, Sept. 14 and Oct. 12. Concerts are at Historic Germantown, 5501 Germantown Ave. Tickets are $25 per show when purchased in advance and $30 at the door.
