July 22 is Moth Night, for nocturnal nature appreciation. The center will set up a bright light that attracts moths and other insects, and participants will see how many different species will show up. This event is in collaboration with Skype a Scientist, an educational nonprofit with a focus on connecting people with science in fun and meaningful ways. It has a database of thousands of scientists and helps them connect with classrooms, families, libraries, scout troops and others around the globe.
More event details, including ticket prices, are on the center’s website, schuylkillcenter.org. The visitor center is located at 8480 Hagy’s Mill Road in Upper Roxborough.
