Oreland-Wyndmoor’s Little League 12-Year-old team won the PA Little League District 22 championship on July 7. The Bulldogs defeated Horsham Little League in the final, 8-3 and were a perfect 7–0, scoring 108 runs, in District 22 tournament play.
After winning the district championship, the Bulldogs lost a hard fought game for the Pennslyvania Section 8 championship to Taney Little League 6–4. (Taney went on to with the Pennslyvania Little League State Championship).
The Bulldogs were led by catcher Luke Greenberg, who slugged a total of 11 home runs in district play and another 4 in sectionals. His batting averages for both tournaments was .917 and .857, respectively.
This group of Bulldogs achieved multiple championships during the last five years. They played in the Pennslyvania District 22 championship game each of the last three years and were the 2013 A Division champions of the outstanding Pennslyvania Suburban Travel Baseball League.
