Chosed, a Philadelphia native, started her songwriting journey as a photographer, showcasing her work at local venues. This led to her producing visual art events, where she eventually began booking musical performances. That, in turn, led Chosed to begin performing, running an open mic and a First Friday showcase.
With a voice reminiscent of Nanci Griffith, her unique songwriting style contains hints of her influences Kasey Chambers and Alanis Morissette. Her songs are inspired by her travel, life experiences, and work as a photographer.
Chosed plays locally and at venues in the surrounding tri-state region. Her debut album “Fly” and its single "My Life" are available on platforms such as Apple Music, Bandcamp and Soundcloud. She is currently working on her second album.
After years of believing that a music career was only possible for those with “special” talents, Diadul's performing experience started after a four-day solo hike through the mountains of Japan. Too tired to care who heard him sing, his rendition of “I'm Yours” by Jason Mraz brought the resounding applause of the 15 or so eavesdroppers in the tiny mountain hostel. This was the moment Diadul realized just how much performing music meant to him.
Diadul combines intimate and visual songwriting with his voice, a high, pure tenor developed over two decades of singing experience and vocal training. He creates a uniquely expressive sound that is softly soulful.
Since releasing his debut EP, “A through Z,” in 2022, and the singles "Let Her Lead" and "The Death of Me," Diadul has garnered over seventy thousand streams on services such as Spotify and Apple Music.
Murray draws from life experiences and oral histories to create edgy, rootsy songs, born out of a desire to have her music mean something while telling the stories of hard-working women and men.
Her songs often reflect how life was in her native Bucks County in the 1930s and 1940s, or experiences in the West Virginia coal fields, where she worked with the miners and their families. She sings with a passion and intensity that is palpable, like the lines on the faces of her songwriting subjects.
She is a three-time winner in the International Womens Freedom Song Contest and her songs have received rave reviews from major music journals including fRoots, No Depression and Irish Music Magazine.
Murray has performed solo, and as a member of River Drivers, an Americana/Celtic band, and at major festivals and concert halls throughout the east coast and Ireland, including the Philadelphia Folk Festival.
Last year, she premiered her song "Cold Kentucky Rain," about the floods in Kentucky, at the Lyric Theater in Lexington, Kentucky, and as an artist on WoodSongs Old-Time Radio Hour.
