I enjoyed John Grant’s article about Bruno’s and join in wishing their waitress a Happy Silver Anniversary and many more years of being able to look back at so many fond memories.
While appreciating the longevity of Bruno’s and marveling at the 37 years that Tim Bruno has been working the grill, I am lamenting the closure of so many businesses I’ve frequented and are no longer here.
In a very short time, Moondance, a shop where I purchased beautiful arts and crafts by local artists for gifts, and Artists and Craftsmen, where I buy my art supplies, plan to close.

Foliage, Iron Hill Brewery, Campbell’s Place have left or are leaving and Flying Fish and Roller’s Express-O have been vacant for years.
I am wondering if the Local could shed some light on this situation and I understand the reasons may be numerous.
I know some new businesses will be cropping up and I hope one will be a diner-style restaurant with comfortable seating and good, simple food where families can gather. Perhaps I will see one where Iron Hill Brewery used to be!
