Metered parking removed in G-town Ave. commercial corridors

The Philadelphia Parking Authority (PPA) has removed metered parking in parts of the Mt. Airy and Germantown commercial corridors on Germantown Avenue.

In Mt. Airy, parking is now listed as free for two hours in the 7100-7200 blocks of Germantown Avenue, which features businesses like McMenamin’s Tavern, Quintessence Theatre Group, and Töska Restaurant & Brewery.

In Germantown, parking is now listed as free for two hours in the 6100-6200 blocks of Germantown Avenue, which features businesses like All the Way Live Cafe and ArchWell Health.

The Philadelphia Parking Authority (PPA) has removed metered parking in parts of the Mt. Airy and Germantown commercial corridors on Germantown Avenue.

In Mt. Airy, parking is now listed as free for two hours in the 7100-7200 blocks of Germantown Avenue, which features businesses like McMenamin’s Tavern, Quintessence Theatre Group, and Töska Restaurant & Brewery.

In Germantown, parking is now listed as free for two hours in the 6100-6200 blocks of Germantown Avenue, which features businesses like All the Way Live Cafe and ArchWell Health.

According to spokespersons for the PPA and City Councilwoman Cindy Bass, the meters were removed at Bass’ direction after consulting neighbors and members of the local business community.
