On November 2nd, Justice will be on the ballot in Philadelphia and all across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. This election could not be more consequential, with women’s reproductive rights, LGBTQ rights, and the very right to vote at all hanging in the balance
I enjoyed Alex Bartlett’s article on Chestnut Hill eateries but have to point out that he missed mentioning maybe the most long lived and popular restaurant ever seen in the area.
The Chestnut Hill Community Association is hosting Chestnut Hill’s first annual Canine Costume Parade on “Barktober” 30. Costumed dogs and their owners are invited to meet at the parking lots next to Mimi’s Café on East Evergreen at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 30, and parade with other pooches down to Buckley Park.
“The book is inspired by my mom, who lost her father when she was 18,” Laura Sibson said. “I wanted to write about teenagers navigating grief, and I thought that magic was a good metaphor … I hope readers love these girls as much as I loved writing about them.”
