The “inbound” or southbound lanes of Lincoln Drive between Wissahickon Avenue and Ridge Avenue/Kelly Drive will be closed temporarily from approximately 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 4, Acting Streets Commissioner David Perri announced today.
Southbound Lincoln Drive traffic will be detoured at Wissahickon Avenue. Detour signs will be posted along Wissahickon Avenue, Walnut Lane, and Ridge Avenue to direct traffic to the end of the closure. Northbound traffic will not be affected.
The temporary closure will allow City employees to safely work along this winding stretch of road during daytime hours in order to expedite repairs and minimize disruption to motorists. Police Department assistance will be on site to help maintain a safe traffic flow in the area.
All work will be completed and the lane will be restored by 5:00 p.m. Streets Department crews will make every effort to minimize the inconvenience to drivers, residents, and businesses.
The Streets Department thanks citizens in advance for their patience and cooperation during this project.
