The world and our community are sadder today for the passing of Mrs. Jessie Birtha. I was in Mrs. Birtha's writing group at Lovett Library for many years. She was the best writer in the group by far. We used to save her reading her stories out loud until last - like dessert. She was also one of the finest people I ever met. Condolences to her family.
