Letter: Electronics recyclers help fund green spaces

I so appreciate how the Chestnut Hill Community Association, Business Association, Conservancy and Tree Tenders work together to add green spaces to our community.

So many volunteers have made it possible.

I want to acknowledge others who have helped make this possible. During Weavers Way’s Environment Committee's Electronic Recycling event, residents of the community donated money to support our grant program.

Because of their donations, grants were given to some of the same groups mentioned, including Chestnut Hill Tree Tenders and the Water Tower. Our generous residents also contributed to nearby green projects, such as gardens for DePaul, First United Methodist Church of Germantown, Pastorius Community, Whosoever Gospel Mission, East Falls, Pleasant Playground, Families for Houston, and Philly Forests among others.

We thank the community for its giving spirit. Mark your calendar for our next event, Saturday, April 1, 2023, at Chestnut Hill College, so we may continue to give grants to green our community.
