My gratitude to the Chestnut Hill Institutional Leaders Group (Group) for convening the candidate’s forum on April 21, hosted at the Woodmere Art Museum.

The event flyer was created by the Group. Our campaign was advised that we could promote this event. The event was not limited to citizens from Chestnut Hill. The event did draw interest from all corners of the 194th, including parts of East Falls that, like Chestnut Hill, have been recently redistricted into the 194th. It is my understanding that there was also virtual participation.
I encourage everyone to view the forum at https://vimeo/com/702108686/9de4f57960
Patrick Baeringer, my campaign manager, should not have asked any questions of candidate Khan during this event. Patrick and I have discussed it, and we regret his participation. The question asked can be found at the 1:28:25 mark. Patrick asked what other constituent services Khan would provide since he labeled shred events and town halls as a minimum of service.
The audience was interested in having us debate and I welcome that opportunity. I hope that Khan will change his mind, as he would not commit to a debate. Other than this event there has been one one other opportunity to appear together publicly. The East Falls Community Council event was not publicized throughout the District and was not a debate format.
I encourage Mr. Gordon, who is more than a volunteer as he is also campaign chair for Tarik Khan, to encourage Khan to participate in a debate.
Citizens should have the opportunity to be as fully informed as possible to cast a knowledgeable vote. I look forward to such an event(s) that will provide that opportunity.
