You may have heard the Chestnut Hill Community Association is throwing a big, community party. It is true!
And what a party it will be. After two and a half years of pandemic-related precautions, big events are back in vogue. And we are celebrating with our first-ever “Fall Frolic.”
We’re holding it at the Philadelphia Cricket Club – so anyone who plans to attend should get ready to dust off your dancing shoes!
The fun begins Thursday evening, September 15. Guests will enjoy a champagne reception on the lovely outdoor patio, with delicious hors d'oeuvres that will include the introduction of the new very tasty "Wissahickon Jerky." Beer, wine and cocktails will also be available for purchase.
An elegant dinner will be served in the ballroom, where the Renaissance Orchestra will play all evening long. The Renaissance Orchestra, known as the Delaware Valley’s premier party band, features four outstanding vocalists and a sizzling horn section. Music will range from beautiful background tunes during dinner to a wide variety of dance music ranging from the ’40’s swing era to today’s Top 40 music hits.
Our Fall Frolic is a party, so while there will be some brief remarks, there won’t be any speeches. But you can expect a terrific silent auction featuring fantastic gifts and experiences donated by CHCA's institutional partners and community supporters.
You may have noticed the CHCA is previewing these auction items in our emails this week – one at a time. Look for different opportunities for a variety of different interests.
The CHCA works hard every day to accomplish our mission to "improve the quality of life and encourage a sense of community.”
You can help – just by buying a ticket and coming out for a wonderful evening with your friends and neighbors. All proceeds raised at the Fall Frolic fundraiser will support CHCA operations and help us increase our outreach programs.
