Jenks School is celebrating Reading Promise Week with an opening reception for the school’s new Community Collaboration Center and School Library scheduled for 2:15 to 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 13.
The event in the Jenks schoolyard will include free book giveaways, music, storytelling and bookmaking. All families are welcome.The rain date is Oct. 14.
Parent Prather Egan, who works as the children’s librarian branch manager at the Chestnut Hill Library, has been instrumental in the efforts to revamp Jenks’ library.
