“Love our playground with your helping hands” was the theme over the weekend as the Friends of Chestnut Hill Park led a group of volunteers in helping restore the playground at Jenks Academy for the Arts and Sciences. Armed with work gloves, shovels, pitchforks and plenty of energy, parents, neighbors an other advocates installed new engineered wood fiber as additional safety surfacing. The group’s eventual goal is a playground renovation. It is seeking more volunteers who will donate time and money for the project. More information is here: jenksplayground.org.
