A new Woodmere exhibition honors the artistic contributions of two prominent Philadelphia collectors, painter Bill Scott and the late activist Bob Schoenberg. The exhibit, which opened last month and runs through December 28, showcases recent gifts from Scott and Schoenberg that explore the beauty and “goodness" that can be found in human figures, urban landscapes, nature, and abstract forms. Beyond their aesthetic value, the works exhibited reflect the social causes championed by both collectors — Scott's dedication to mentoring emerging artists and Schoenberg's lifelong advocacy for LGBTQ+ rights.
