The 9th Annual Hoops Madness 3-on-3 Tournament is set to electrify the community this weekend, promising a blend of competitive spirit and community bonding. Scheduled to start on Saturday, March 16th, with games kicking off at 9 a.m. (participants are expected to arrive by 8:15 a.m.), the event welcomes a broad age range of participants, from children as young as 5 to adults with no age cap, emphasizing inclusivity and the joy of the game.

The festivities begin a day earlier, on Friday, March 15th, with a vibrant Kickoff Event and Skills Competitions starting at 6 p.m., leading into player check-in and team jersey distribution. 

The evening will feature local heroes and personalities, including 14th District police officers, Engine 37 firefighters, Cosimo’s Pizza Cafe staff, and Norwood-Fontbonne Academy faculty, all competing for community bragging rights. Skill competitions will start at 7 p.m., highlighted by the Top of The Hill Orthodontia & Pediatric Dentistry Braces Giveaway Contest, valued at $5,000.

The tournament's games on Saturday will span across multiple locations, including Norwood-Fontbonne Academy, La Salle College High School, Mount Saint Joseph’s Academy and Chestnut Hill College, with specific gym assignments to be announced by Friday for each age group.

The snack bar, featuring Cosimo’s pizza, will be open on Friday night and Saturday.

Open to spectators at no charge, the event is more than just a tournament; it's a celebration of community, volunteerism and fun, where basketball serves as a powerful platform for growth, friendships and lasting memories.
