Republicans in our congressional district have elected three delegates and three alternate delegates to the national convention. Although Donald Trump has enough bound delegates to win the nomination for president there is still a lot of other important business before the delegates. A vice presidential candidate needs to be selected, a platform approved and the rules for the primaries in 2020 have to be set.
The Germantown Republican Club is going to have a picnic on July 10th so that anyone interested can meet the delegates before they head for Cleveland. The picnic will be in the back yard of Bob Rossman at 49 East Mermaid Lane from 2 till 5 in the afternoon. There will be hamburgers and hot dogs and other picnic foods. One does not have to be a member of the club to attend.
The Germantown Republican Club is a social club of Republicans. It is one of the oldest such clubs in the country with a history dating back to shortly after the Civil War. For more information about the club visit the web pat at germantownrepublicanclub.com.
