Emlen School spent last week celebrating its 100th birthday, starting with a pep rally and march around the school, followed by a retiree and alumni luncheon, birthday party, time capsules, and lots of activities -- did we mention the ice cream? -- all culminating in a “BBQ Bash” on Friday. The Mt. Airy school was established in 1926 and serves more than 300 kindergarten through fifth grade students.
