More than 100 five- to 15-year-olds from Mt. Airy to Willow Grove turned up at Springside Chestnut Hill Academy’s Maguire Stadium last week to participate in the the school’s 5th annual youth football camp, which was organized and hosted by Ibraheim Campbell, a seven-year NFL veteran and retiree, and his brother Rashad, an SCH board member.
Both brothers are alumni of Chestnut Hill Academy.
“Ib’s goal with the clinic is to serve as a positive role model and to instill life lessons that extend well beyond the field,” his brother Rashad said.
The skills and drills they used at the camp are based on USA Football’s Player Progression Development Model, ensuring children are learning in an age-appropriate manner and creating a fun atmosphere.
The NFL Foundation pitched in with swag and refreshments for the event.
Both brothers will be inducted into the SCH Athletic Hall of Fame at the school's ceremony in October.
