The following crime report is for crimes reported in Chestnut Hill and Mt. Airy for the period from March 7 to 14. (Some crimes that occurred on dates earlier than the current period may be included.)

There were no crimes to report in Chestnut Hill
Mt. Airy
Jan. 31 Theft. A landlord complained to police, saying that one of his tenant’s sons is breaking into his tenants mailboxes and the building’s maintenance room, where he stole a lawnmower and a drill. The building is located on the 800 block of Vernon Road.
March 1 Theft. A tenant at a retirement home on the 6400 block of Greene Street reported her wallet missing from her purse in her room after many of the home’s employees had been inside.
March 2 Theft. A resident on the 400 block of Vernon Road reported packages containing clothes stolen from around her front door.
March 4 Motor vehicle theft. A complainant reports that her car was parked in a lot located on the 6300 block of Greene Street for a weekend. She returned to the parking lot to find the car missing.
March 5 Theft from motor vehicle. A complainant reported the license plate stolen from a trailer parked on the corner of East Cliveden and Stenton Avenue.
March 7 Theft from motor vehicle. A complainant reported the catalytic converter was stolen from her car parked on the corner of West Johnson and Emlen Streets.
March 8 Theft from motor vehicle. A complainant was moving boxes into the trunk of her vehicle parked on the 6500 block of Wayne Avenue when someone stole a box while she wasn’t looking.
March 9 Theft. A complainant had a license plate kept in a box for years. The complainant didn’t realize it was stolen until she started getting tickets in the mail.
