Crime Report: $20 taken from Hill home break-in and an armed robbery in Mt. Airy

The following crime report is for crimes reported in Chestnut Hill and Mt. Airy from Nov. 23 to Nov. 29.

Chestnut Hill 

Nov. 23 Burglary on 100 block of W. Mermaid Lane. Security camera footage showed two men entered the unlocked property at night. Taken was $20.

Mt. Airy

Nov 15 Armed robbery on the 600 block of E. Mt. Pleasant Ave. Complainant said a man approached him, pointed a gun at his face and took the complainant’s iPhone, $2 in cash and a bag containing four prescription medications.

Nov. 24 Car stolen on 700 block of W. Mt. Airy Ave. A man told police he parked his black Audi in his driveway and the car was gone in the morning. He said a set of keys may have been left in the vehicle.

Nov. 25 Retail theft from Wine and Spirits store, 7204 Germantown Ave. Store manager saw a man grab a $16 bottle of peach liqueur and flee without paying for it.

Nov. 29 Retail theft from Wine and Spirits store, 7204 Germantown Ave. Store manager saw a man grab a $24 bottle of brandy and flee without paying for it.
