Chestnut Hill
Sept. 13. Shoplifting. An offender stole five bottles of Hennessey totaling $329.95 from the Fine Wine & Good Spirits in the 8700 block of Germantown Avenue.
Sept. 14. Burglary. A complainant reported that an offender entered an office through an unlocked window, made marks on the inside wall from their shoes, and left a water bottle. Cameras showed a male exiting the offices in the unit block of West Evergreen Avenue.
Sept. 16. Theft from Motor Vehicle. A complainant stated an offender broke into his vehicle and stole a laptop at the intersection of Cherokee Street and West Hartwell Lane.
Sept. 17. Theft from Motor Vehicle. A complainant stated an unknown offender smashed their vehicle’s left rear window and took credit and debit cards, a purse containing $40 and a license.
Sept. 17. Motor Vehicle Theft. A complainant reported their Honda CRV was stolen in the 7700 block of Stenton Avenue.
Sept. 17. Shoplifting. An offender stole facial products, body wash, and hair products totaling $214.51 from the CVS in the 7700 block of Germantown Avenue.
Sept. 17. Theft. An unknown offender stole a complainant’s wallet and used her debit card to purchase prepaid cards in the 8800 block of Germantown Avenue.
Sept. 19. Theft from Motor Vehicle. A complainant stated his front right passenger window was smashed and his sunglasses were taken in the 8700 block of Seminole Avenue.
Sept. 19. Theft from Motor Vehicle. A complainant stated an unknown offender went into his vehicle and took his iPhone and wallet, containing a school ID, a debit card, and $20, in the 500 block of West Willow Grove Avenue.
Sept. 19. Theft from Motor Vehicle. A complainant stated an offender broke her rear passenger window and took her purse containing her license and various credit cards in the 9000 block of Crefeld Street. The offender attempted to use the complainant’s Chase Bank card at the Wawa at 6701 Ridge Pike to purchase a gift card, but it was declined.
Sept. 20. Theft from Motor Vehicle. A complainant stated her front passenger side window was broken and her wallet was stolen in the unit block of Valley Green Road.
Mt. Airy
Sept. 10. Aggravated Assault. An elderly complainant stated an offender attacked her, choked her, and began hitting her with a can in the 7500 block of Germantown Avenue.
Sept. 13. Aggravated Assault. A complainant stated his son woke him from his sleep, slammed him, choked him, kicked him, and threw a microwave at him in the 300 block of Vernon Road.
Sept. 16. Theft of Motor Vehicle Parts or Accessories. A driver for a funeral home went to start the hearse and noticed that the catalytic converter had been sawed off the vehicle in the 6600 block of Chew Avenue.
Sept. 17. Shoplifting. An offender stole body wash totaling $70 from the CVS in the 7000 block of Lincoln Drive.
Sept. 17. Motor Vehicle Theft. A complainant stated her Honda CRV was stolen in the 7100 block of Lincoln Drive before being recovered by police stripped of its parts.
Sept. 17. Motor Vehicle Theft. A complainant stated their Honda Accord was stolen in the 100 unit of West Allens Lane.
Sept. 18. Motor Vehicle Theft. A complainant stated her Honda Accord was stolen in the 6300 block of Cherokee Street.
Sept. 18. Theft of Motor Vehicle Parts or Accessories. A complainant stated their tag was stolen off their vehicle in the 200 block of West Allens Lane.
Sept. 18. Motor Vehicle Theft. A complainant stated their Range Rover was stolen in the 7100 block of Sprague Street.
Sept. 18. Motor Vehicle Theft. A witness stated he saw a white sedan double parked and four people wearing all black with masks surrounding his neighbor’s vehicle. The complainant found her driver door keyhole punched out and the handle broken in the 6700 block of Blakemore Street.
Sept. 19. Shoplifting. A complainant stated he saw two juvenile offenders steal several drinks from the Wawa in the 7200 block of Germantown Avenue.
Sept. 19. Theft from Motor Vehicle. A complainant stated her passenger side window was broken and her purse with a wallet and other items was taken in the intersection of West Mt. Airy Avenue and Mt. Airy Terrace.
Sept. 20. Motor Vehicle Theft. A witness stated he saw three offenders dressed in black attempting to steal a complainant’s vehicle, breaking the rear passenger window and tampering with the steering column in the 100 block of Nippon Street.
Sept. 20. Aggravated Assault. The police stated an offender threw water on them in the unit block of West Gowen Avenue.
