The following is for crimes reported from Aug. 23 to Aug. 30. This report is compiled from information provided by the 14th Police District. (Some crimes that occurred on dates earlier than the current period but weren’t reported until later may be included.)

Chestnut Hill

Aug. 22. Motor Vehicle Theft. A complainant stated her Honda CRV was stolen in the 300 block of East Willow Grove Avenue.

Aug. 24. Shoplifting. An offender was arrested after stealing clothing, Tide Pods, and personal massagers totaling $132.23 from the CVS in the 7700 block of Germantown Avenue.

Aug. 24. Theft from Motor Vehicle. A complainant stated he received a text about someone finding his keys and when he went to his vehicle, he noticed items missing in the 9600 block of Germantown Avenue.

Aug. 27. Theft from Motor Vehicle. A complainant stated an unknown offender stole his wallet and backpack from his work truck in the 330 block of West Springfield Avenue.

Aug. 27. Shoplifting. An offender was arrested after stealing candy and cosmetics valuing $59.23 from the CVS in the 7700 block of Germantown Avenue.

Aug. 27. Shoplifting. An offender was arrested after stealing Sharpie markers from the CVS in the 7700 block of Germantown Avenue.

Aug. 27. Shoplifting. An offender was arrested after stealing beer and steak from the ACME in the 7700 block of Crittenden Street.

Mt. Airy

Aug. 21. Motor Vehicle Theft. A complainant stated his Ford Crown Victoria was stolen in the 6900 block of Cresheim Road.

Aug. 22. Theft from Motor Vehicle. A complainant stated an offender gained entry to his vehicle and stole a wallet, a permit to carry, shoes, and money in the 1000 block of West Allens Lane.

Aug. 22. Motor Vehicle Theft. A complainant stated their Honda Pilot was stolen in the 400 block of East Mt. Airy Avenue.

Aug. 23. Burglary. A complainant stated an offender came over without permission and kicked in the door to her apartment, damaged her television, and threw her belongings all over the apartment in the 6100 block of McCallum Street.

Aug. 23. Theft from Motor Vehicle. A complainant stated her passenger side window was broken and a black bag containing clothes and toiletries was taken in the 600 block of St. Georges Road.

Aug. 24. Motor Vehicle Theft. A complainant stated her Honda Accord was stolen in the 400 block of East Mt. Airy Avenue.

Aug. 25. Theft. A complainant stated her bike, valued at $1800, was stolen from her apartment complex in the 6400 block of Wayne Avenue.

Aug. 26. Shoplifting. An offender stole a Red Bull, a sandwich, and chicken bites from the Wawa in the 7200 block of Germantown Avenue.

Aug. 26. Intimidation/Threats and Theft. A complainant stated she had a verbal dispute with her boyfriend, who threatened to physically harm her, and the complainant left the apartment to call the police. When she returned, her purse containing her driver’s license, birth certificate, checkbook, and other items was gone in the 6400 block of Wayne Avenue.

Aug. 28. Shoplifting. An offender was arrested after stealing Lysol wipes, scent beads, Fabuloso, Pine-Sol, Clorox, and Comet powder cleaner from the ACME in the 7000 block of Germantown Avenue.

Aug. 28. Motor Vehicle Theft. A complainant stated her Honda Ridgeline was stolen in the 7000 block of Crittenden Street.

Aug. 30. Theft from Motor Vehicle. A complainant stated her rear passenger side window was broken and her daughter’s purse, containing her ID and Airpods, was missing in the 900 block of West Mt. Airy Avenue.
