The following is for crimes reported from July 7 to July 13. This report is compiled from information provided by the 14th Police District. (Some crimes that occurred on dates earlier than the current period but weren’t reported until later may be included.)

The following is for crimes reported from July 7 to July 13. This report is compiled from information provided by the 14th Police District. (Some crimes that occurred on dates earlier than the current period but weren’t reported until later may be included.)

Chestnut Hill

July 7. Shoplifting. A male offender took items without paying at ACME in the 7700 block of Crittenden Street.

July 8. Shoplifting. A male offender took items without paying at ACME in the 7700 block of Crittenden Street.

July 8. Motor vehicle theft. A complainant reported their vehicle stolen in the 8200 block of Ardleigh Street. The vehicle has been insured.

July 8. Shoplifting. An offender took items and walked out without paying at Chestnut Coffee Co. in the 8600 block of Germantown Avenue. 

July 11. Motor vehicle theft. A woman reported her vehicle missing in the 200 block of East Mermaid Lane. 

July 11. Theft. A complainant reported their wallet stolen at MJ Test Prep office in the unit block of West Evergreen Avenue.

July 11. Theft from motor vehicle. A complainant reported two sunglasses and loose change stolen from their vehicle in the unit block of East Willow Grove Avenue.

July 12. Destruction/damage/vandalism of property. A woman reported damage to her rear passenger side window and steering wheel in the 7800 block of Stenton Avenue.

July 13. Theft from motor vehicle. A complainant reported their phone stolen from their vehicle in the 300 block of East Highland Avenue. 

Mt. Airy

July 7. Shoplifting. An offender took various snack items at Wawa in the 7200 block of Germantown Avenue.

July 7. Destruction/damage/vandalism of property. A complainant reported damage to their vehicle in the 600 block of East Upsal Street.

July 8. Shoplifting. An offender took items at Wawa in the 7200 block of Germantown Avenue.

July 8. Motor vehicle theft. A man reported his vehicle missing in the 500 block of West Hortter Street.

July 8. Theft from motor vehicle. A complainant reported all the tires stolen in the unit block of East Cliveden Street.

July 8. Motor vehicle theft. A complainant reported their vehicle missing in the 7000 block of Green Street. The vehicle has been insured.

July 9. Shoplifting. An offender took items at the Wawa in the 7000 block of Germantown Avenue. 

July 9. Destruction/damage/vandalism of property. A complainant reported damage to the rear window and ignition of their vehicle in the 7100 block of Boyer Street.

July 9. Shoplifting. An offender took items at Wawa in the 7200 block of Germantown Avenue.

July 10. Theft. A man reported his phone stolen by an unknown person in the 200 block of East Cliveden Street.

July 10. Destruction/damage/vandalism of property. A complainant reported damage to the back passenger window and ignition of their vehicle in the 7100 block of Cresheim Road.  

July 11. Robbery. A man reported his wallet stolen when he was approached by three offenders armed with knives in the 6700 block of Boyer Street. The man said he was “too scared” to see what they were wearing, but knows them from the area. 

July 11. Motor vehicle theft. A complainant reported their car stolen in the 300 block of West Johnson Street. 

July 11. Shoplifting. An offender was arrested at ACME in the 7000 block of Germantown Avenue for stealing various items totalling $55.

July 12. Motor vehicle theft. Police responded to a motor vehicle theft in the 200 block of East Cliveden Street. Police are unable to locate the owner of the vehicle.

July 12. Destruction/damage/vandalism of property. A woman reported damage to the rear passenger side window and ignition of her vehicle in the 100 block of East Phil Ellena Street. Damage is approximately $1,500.

July 13. Shoplifting. A complainant reported two offenders took food items without paying at Wawa in the 7200 block of Germantown Avenue.
