Members of college’s 102nd class, including first-year and transfer students, moved into campus residence halls on Aug,. 27, with returning students joining them throughout the weekend. This year’s incoming first-year class represents another significant increase in undergraduate and transfer enrollment and includes students from more than 14 states and 15 countries.

College President Brian McCloskey was there to greet parents and students as they arrived. As is tradition, student-athletes helped families unload their cars and transport items to their dormitory rooms.

“We are so happy to welcome our newest freshmen, transfer students, and all our returning students to Chestnut Hill College,” McCloskey said. “These students will continue the great legacy of our institute which remains focused on mission, community, growth and academic excellence.”

In a news release, the college said new initiatives including its growing nursing program, social work degree, and three-year criminal justice degree, as well as expanded athletic offerings and increased scholarship opportunities, in part led to the increase in undergraduate enrollment. Additionally, CHC is welcoming new students to its adult learner and graduate programs.
