An early peek of Election Day throughout Northwest Philadelphia
Voters at St. Martin in the Fields on Tuesday, Nov. 5, were greeted with a sea of Democratic lawn signs. Two red signs touting McCormick for Senate were the only outliers.

First-time Republican volunteer Anton Biocina sported a red bandana as he handed out palm cards outside the church. He seemed surprised when a voter asked him for a card. “They’re mostly Democrats here,” he said.

These poll workers said that a long line of voters had formed early in the morning and they had been busy ever since. The atmosphere was happy and friendly. “Only one guy — a Republican — dropped the F-bomb,” said one worker. “He was upset by all the Democratic lawn signs.”
