On the 28th day of May,1954, Toni joined the family of Marguerite and Michael Casale of Philadelphia.
As a young lady, her determination and competitive instincts were apparent. She would go to great lengths and go the extra mile to accomplish her goals. In grade school, Toni was on the Mother Superior’s Honor Roll seven of her eight years at Our Mother of Consolation RC School and was “top Girl Scout Cookie sales person” in the United States in 1968.
Graduating with honors from Girls High, Toni continued her education at Penn State University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree. While at Penn State, Toni worked at Vandenbergh Jewelers in Germantown and Flourtown as a sales person/gemologist. Completing her education at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Toni was awarded two fellowships with the World Health Organization and earned a Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine.
Toni was an accomplished athlete. Her passion was to run in cross country and endurance competitions, completing nine marathons in Philadelphia, Boston, L.A., Washington,D.C., New York, Pittsburgh, Harrisburg, Australia, and Greece.
Toni was dedicated to her family and is survived by her brothers Michael (his wife Gloria), James, Raffaele (his wife Marianne); sisters Betty Lou, Marguerite, Dawn; nieces Jaclyn and Joanna; nephews Jesse, David, Kane and Gavin; and cousins Joseph, Lois, Ann, Judith, and Michael.
Along with her parents, Toni was preceded in death by a sister, Lucy.
Toni was the very essence of beauty, of style, and of compassion. Toni, you will be truly missed. Dr. Toni Maria “Dolly” Casale, D.O. May 28th ~ September 28th, 2017.
Toni’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at the Epiphany of Our Lord Catholic Church, 3500 Walton Road, Plymouth Meeting, PA 19462. Entombment will take place at George Washington Memorial Park, 80 Stenton Ave., Plymouth Meeting.
