On Tuesday, June 7, Chestnut Hill’s Center for Enrichment will present “Mary Todd Lincoln: the woman you thought you knew.” The community is invited to join CHCE members at 1 p.m. as actress Janet Wasser interprets and portrays the Southern belle who married the man who would become America’s 16th president.
This one-act play focusing on her life was written and directed by Georgina Bard, artistic director of Beacon Theatre Productions. Following the performance there will be a question and answer session, decadent desserts and beverages.
The performance and reception following will take place in the Harris Room at the Presbyterian Church of Chestnut Hill, 8855 Germantown Avenue. Admission is $10 per person. Pre-registration is requested no later than June 5, by calling the Center for Enrichment, 215-248-0180.
