Norwood-Fontbonne Academy parents, staff and students stepped up in a big way to provide over 25 Thanksgiving dinners to families at Visitation BVM Parish in the Kensington neighborhood.
Each homeroom sponsored a family, collecting the specified items from the turkey and fixings, to desserts, table decorations and extra supplies to stock the pantry. Following NFA’s Thanksgiving liturgy, sixth graders helped transport and deliver the beautifully decorated packages to “the Viz.” The goods will be distributed to families by the parish.
“Outreach to our neighbors is integral to our Mission of ‘treasuring, self, others, and the earth,'” said Marianne Finnegan, NFA’s Director of the Upper Grades. “The opportunity to share abundance with others is true Thanksgiving.”
