Department of Streets Commissioner David J. Perri announced on Friday that demolition for the Willow Grove Avenue Bridge Project would extend through the week -- from Sunday, March 22 to Thursday, March 26 because of snow that halted work during the weekend.
The streets department said demolition work would largely stick to between the hours of 12 a.m. and 5 a.m. to avoid interruption of the Chestnut Hill West regional rail line that runs under the bridge.
The department expects to be be finished with construction by December this year.
