The VFW 5205 Post of Chestnut Hill will hold its annual ceremony to commemorate the neighborhood's war memorials on Monday, May 27, Memorial Day, at approximately 11 a.m.
The ceremony will begin at Buckley Park (Hartwell Lane and Germantown Avenue), followed by the World War II memorial and ending at the World War I Memorial at Germantown Avenue and Mermaid Lane. At each site, there is a reading and a rifle salute. Refreshments will be served after the ceremony at the VFW post, 8217 Germantown Ave. All are welcome.
