The Mt. Airy Art Garage (MAAG), a creative community center for emerging and professional artists in Northwest Philadelphia will host an opening reception and dedication of the Solomon Levy Gallery of Art on Friday, April 27 from 6 to 8 p.m.
The Gallery’s first exhibit, “Travels Through Life,” will feature the work of the late Sol Levy.
and will span his earliest landscapes through his most recent abstractions. Whether
capturing the grand terrain of Europe or a few inches of cracking paint on a city door, no scene
was too vast or insignificant for Levy's lens. All work will be for sale.
As MAAG’s Vice President and founding Board member, Levy was instrumental in making
MAAG’s dreams a reality. The gallery that will bear his name is in honor of his contributions toMAAG
Sol Levy’s “Travels Through Life” will conitnue until May 20.
Regular hours are Thursday through Saturday, 12 to 6 p.m. and Sunday, 12 to 5 p.m.. Private appointments are available.
