The Chestnut Hill Center for Enrichment opens the 2011 Design Show House with a festive Preview Party this Friday, Sept. 16.

Sponsored by Chestnut Hill Hospital, Bowman Properties, Pennsylvania Trust and National Penn Bank, the Design Show is open from Saturday, Sept. 17 through Sunday, Oct. 16, but Preview Party guests will be first to preview the work that noted interior and landscape designers have been creating for the past three months.

The Preview Party is in the Queen Ann-style estate home on Friday Sept. 16 from 7-9:30 p.m.  A harpist will perform in the living room, decorated with a marvelous blending of modern and traditional by Patricia Marian Cove Architectural Interiors & Designs.

Other local artists who have added to the home and gardens include Jay Su, Palladio Designs, HobNob, Mona Ross Berman, The Hill Company and Laurel Hill Gardens.

Guests will enjoy their own view of the home as well as cocktails and catering by Carl Drake. All revenue generated from the Design Show House will benefit Chestnut Hill Center for Enrichment (formerly Adult Senior Center).

The nonprofit organization was founded in 1978 by the Chestnut Hill Community Association as the Chestnut Hill Senior Services Center  to provide social, educational, and recreational activities to older adults living in the community.

Tickets to the Preview Party are $100. Regular Show House tour tickets are $25.

For tickets  and more information, contact the Chestnut Hill Center for Enrichment at 215-248-0180,  chenrichment@cavtel.net orwww.chdesignhouse.org.
