This year’s 50th annual Philadelphia Folk Festival is being hosted by the Folksong Society and is sure to bring out a large crowd. Folk musicians performing in this year’s festival include Tom Paxton, David Amram and many more. There will also be musical workshops and even a clog-dancing workshop.

The latest exhibition is now open at the Academy of Natural Sciences. Dr. Daniel Otte, the Academy’s Curator of Entomology, a worldwide leading expert on crickets and grasshoppers, will show his remarkable collection of animal drawings. Otte’s sketches give a glimpse into the connection between art and science.
